2001 Nissan Sentra GXE 1.8L 140000 km
Randomly stalled at a stop sign few weeks back, turned keys off, then on, it starts, no problems for a bit
about a week ago after driving and stopping the car, it would not start again. engine cranks, almost starts to idle in normal range, but drops very low and dies, then will only crank for awhile. leave the car be for awhile, and it starts again fine.
Then, after this starting issue, while driving at nighttime and trying to drive up a steep hill my car stopped responding to the gas pedal, and just started revving down, so I geared down with it, tried to use gas, and the car eventually stalled out when the rpm's got too low.
Now if I even drive 1km to the store, my car might not start again after it is turned off, or if it stops responding to the pedal while driving (which has only happened twice, driving up hill both times, to date) it will not start after it stalls for at least an hour in hot and humid weather. Even then, after a stall, it may be very hard even after waiting to have the vehicle turn over, and it has happened that the car starts again, just to stall out very quickly.
I have a mechanically inclined brother, and from what he has told me and the internet, it would either be the Fuel Pump, fuel pump relay, fuel pump relay valve, or an electrical issue, such as a frayed wire.
All vehicle recalls have been done (I double checked because the issue matches with several major recalls)
If I could find out where my F.P. Relay is I would test it, but I really do not want to take this into a garage, for I fear they will replace things that are not broken and I will have the same problem!
