Shock while automatic transmission shifting in nubira 2000

Which shift solenoid was replaced and for what reason. When is delay happening (what shift sequence, what gear to gear change and what rpm's does it happen). These are needed to begin diagnosis of issue.

It
can be issue with gears or problem with transmission and needs to be rebuilt.
Also get the tranny fluid checked. If it\'s low, then such problems
occurs.

Did you check the transmission fluid level? If necessary, add fluid. However you probably have a more serious problem. Take the car to a qualified transmission mechanic.

I would start with your trans, 3rd gear is much higher the 1 and 2 and if it only jerks in 3 the problem is a tranny issue, possibly late shifting or bad shift solenoid for 3rd gear. Your ecu could also be casueing the late shifts.....hows your fluid level/age

You need to bring this to a body shop. They can give you the best advise. You have damage we can't see. Everything you get from us is just a guess and i'm sure your allready doing that.

can't shift out of park unless key is in emergency release. Is there possibly an electrical problem, problem with the transaxle...

Hi, just had this problem repaired. The lower arm bushings are bad...not the transmission. I ordered two sets from the nubira site (for the left and right sides of the car)...they are kind of like metal rings with rubber inside...this rubber dampens the shifting from the transmission. $250 - $300 job. Sure that's what it is...

Is this FWD? Maybe check the shift cable.

Make sure that you have the transmission software updated. Volvo has had many upgrades on their transmission's control software to address these exact symptoms.
