Change selonoid its bad

Testimonial: "Changing solenoid doesn't make sense. Selenoid would not get power and engage unless ignition switch is bad or a wire is shorted someplace I would think."

SOURCE: Creaking sound while turning steering wheel

There's a chance that the ball joints need grease. This should help, however once they have started to make noise like that due to lack of grease, they usually have gone bad. Replacement may be the only remedy. Hope this helps.

Pull the steering wheel and clean the turn signal switch and look for broken parts. If that doesn't fix it, then replace the turn signal wand on the steering column.

The steering column on my 1985 Corvette is loose (wiggles around). How do you tighten it up?

Do you have a tilt steering colum if so you have to pull the stearing wheel .remove the turn signal assembly ( all this requires some specialty tools Like a wheel puller stearing coloum tool to depress the steering wheel lock ) if your not equiped call a mechanic and save some time.

Dash light dimming intermittently while driving hitting a bump, applying the brake, accelerator or for no apparent reason.

push on the knob that turns the lights on. There was a loose wire on mine and that fixed it for me.

My daughter's horn on her 1996 Plymouth Breeze has started honking the horn every time she turns a corner or hits a bump. How can we disconnect the horn to stop this annoying and illegal action?

I would get a horn button (Like they used years ago) and mount it to the dash. You will have to find the ground wire that comes from the steering column though.

My heater/ac fan dont work then when going down the road hit a bump it comes on for about 5 minutes the goes out also if you turn the steering wheel to the right on a curvy road it will come on turn back...

This sounds like a loose connection to the motor itself. My truck has been doing that lately and I finally figured out the problem only when I starting digging under the dash while the heater was going.

When you turn left or right, the steering column must be tugging on the wiring, and when you hit a bump it's just enough to jar the connection loose. Check where the plug goes directly into the motor...most likely it's under the dash on the passenger side, or on the firewall on the same side, but in the engine compartment. It could also be that your steering column has worn the coating off of the wire and it is shorting out every once in awhile when the exposed wire hits metal.

Hit a bump and lose all dash electronics. Was

definately electrical connection problem.wiggle fuse box and wires w/ car on in park to see if problem occurs.Check ground wire connections under dash and on other side of firewall/bulkhead.Sometimes ground posts corrode or loosen. An exposed +wire may be bumping or touching metal. You'll have to carefully move wires around under dash untill you see the problem occur

96' grand am 6 cyl. 2 door. turns off right after started.

(1)look at the wires in the steering column where it adjust up and down and see if some wires are touching inside the steering cover.
(2) it a reason to suspect a bad ground to the motor also will cause it too

your mechanic is wrong!!!!cause i have never held of or come across a module doing such things.
