Check the vaccum line that goes from the firewall to behing the glove box. I had a 2004 and it did the same thing at 35000 miles. The vaccum line needed replaced.

soak around the hub and wheel studs with penetrating oil use a large hammer and a round punch work around the center of the rotor between the wheel studs until it pops free you can subtitute hammer and punch for an air chisel and round hammer head bit if available. don't hit the face of the rotor if your trying to save it.

I think you should be able to remove the heater core without removing the dash. I don't know why it went bad, they usually last forever. Taking out the dash is a nightmare, and it isn't fun either. I wouldn't recommend it. If anything, just get it loose and up and out of the way on the right side enough to get to the heater. I just did a dash and believe me, it was no picnic. Hope this helps.

No.....after removing the brake caliper and rotor, Unbolt the axle retainer plate from the axle tube flange. You need a slide hammer to pull the axle out.
