The moon roof on my 2004 Toyota Camery XLE does not go to the fully closed position automatically and therefore does not seal and leaks into the rear passanger side floor. Is there an auto stop positioner? can it be adjusted? When the moon roof is fully closed should it be flush with the top of the roof or slightly recessec or sticking up? Is there a drip tube? If so what is the direction of its run and how do you access it to see if it is cracked or if a joint has come apart? There is no evidence of water on the roof panel or moon roof shade and nothing drips direct from the moon roof to the floor therefore, I assume it is running down a drip tube but making its way to the floor.

check the sunroof drains, they may be clogged they are located on the right and left front of the sunroof.
SOURCE: there is a water leak
Your A/C drain hose may be plugged. If so, the condensate from the A/C box will leak onto the floor, and eventually soak the rear carpet as well. This is a common issue. It is under the glove box, close to the passenger floor. Remove it and make sure that it is open. Alos, always run the A/C in the RECIRC mode.
Water in the trunk can be from a bad trunk seal or poorly sealed taillamp seams

Check the A/C condensate drain tube, which is under the glove box, towards the center console, going thru the firewall. If it is plugged, the water in the A/C box will have no place to go & leak onto the floor. This is a common issue, and running the A/C on the "fresh" mode compounds this problem. When the A/C is on, the water removed from the interior is supposed to drain out thru the firewall onto the street.

If you can access the top side of the tube without removing the moon roof, you can take an air compressor hose with a rubber nozzle, jam the tip in the hose and blast it with quick bursts of air. To insure that you got the blockage out, pour some water in that area and watch around the wheel well for the water to flow out.
