2005 Suzuki Gsxr 600 will not start, does nothing when I turn the key. I do not hear the auto choke, nor do I hear the fuel pump prime, the fuel pump relay doesn't click, there is NO power. This happened before and I could press/squeeze the main fuse in, or play with the main fuse/starter relay and it would get power and the bike would start as normal. Now there is nothing. I used a rest light, tested the battery and it shows it has power, tested the small +\- terminals on the solenoid and there is power, took out the main 30amp fuse and tested that as well and it has power. The fuse box does NOT have any power as far as I can tell(pulled a few fuses and probed the slots with the test light, no light). What should I look at from here?

It sounds like if usable link that has failed. Check the fuse links and it should be ok, make sure the battery has a full 12 volts in it before you do anything as it might be faulty, cheers hope this helps

I have a 2006 Suzuki Grand Vitara almost ran out of gas.I put gas in and now when I push the gas pedal the car barely moves I barely got home thepedal

running the pump dry is bad. on all EFI cars
the pump is fuel cooled and fuel lubricated
if you run any pump dry, you risk pump damage
but lets hope it not damaged, hope is good.
key on 10 times, hear it run?(the pump) let it run 10 times not started
and pray it works, and this trick primes it and gets all air out of the line
the 3 second run time is called just that auto prime.
then run it.
never run EFI cars dry, its a rule.
the dash chime told you it was low, ignore that at your risk.

My 2005 uplander wont start, sometimes it tries to but... nothing. it cranks, acts like its not getting fuel. is it the throttle body, iac, relay or fuel pump, what???

I would first suspect the fuel pump. Do you hear it buzz on for a couple seconds with turning the key to ON, not start?
It should come on for 2 seconds to prime the line with pressure to the engine. Do you hear it? Stand by the gas tank and have someone cycle the key to on if you need to.
If you hear nothing from the tank, you need to investigate the fuel pump and it's circuit.
There will be a fuse for the fuel pump, it is under the hood in the power distribution box-the fuse/relay block. The power for the pump goes from that fuse to the fuel pump relay (also in that fuse/block) and when the engine computer signals that relay on, the power goes through the relay and then directly to the pump in the tank.
Try this test, if your pump doesn't work-test the FPR-to test if the relay is getting a signal from the computer: hold your finger lightly on the relay. now have a helper cycle the key again from off to on (not start). Every time the key is cycled you should feel the click of the relay energizing. If you feel it click and you checked the fuse and it is good, and you still have no pump coming on, then it is likely you need a new pump. Bang on the bottom of the tank, a couple of raps, then see if pump turns on. A failing pump can sometimes be turned on by jolting it like this, but it only works a time or two or three.
So now what? If the pump is working and putting fuel to the engine, then check for spark at a spark plug. Usually a sudden no start means the engine has lost either gas or spark.

Why the fuel pump don't run and the relay don't click when i turn the key on?

If you can't hear your fuel pump priming then either, the pump needs replacing or the relay. If you replace the relay and you still don't hear the pump prime then it's the fuel pump.

The engine is a 12ht turbo diesel 85 modle hj61 land cruiser. engine will start, the base idle is low and runs rough RPM aprox 600. wind up base idle with idle screw to 1000 runs good but u can take turn...

Check to see stop solenoid is working, you may be able to do this by getting someone to turn the key on and off slowly while you are hold your fingers against the side of it.
It is the small metal (Nut) with a wire going into it for an easy description.
The reason you have to choke the engine to stop it is you have either no power going to the switch or the switch is not working properly. i would think more that the switch may not be working properly as it is meant to close fully when power is turned off, if this was working it doesn't matter how much the motor is reving it will still shut of the fuel to the pump.
Sometime these solenoids get a bit of dirt etc stuck in them s well, this is usually just a easy fix, clamp the rubber fuel line before the pump, undo the switch, clean it and refit it, then undo the clamp and prime the pump using the hand primer.
Then start the vehicle, don't try to start the vehicle before you have reprimed the pump as you can damage the engine if you don't have fuel going into it.
Hope this helps, and good luck with it.
Dont rush working on a diesel, just take your time mate.

Wont start unless manually primed

Turn the ignition key to the ON position without starting the engine

You should hear the fuel pump priming for about a few seconds then shutting itself off.
If not hear replace the engine oil pressure switch
The 3rd wire to that switch is the pumps prime switch lead.
When the engines oil pressure is reached the computer will shut that circuit off and turn on the fuel pump relay
If you hear the pump prime the relay maybe at fault instead

How do you prime the fuel injectors on an isuzu rodeo 1994 I4 2.6l engine? changed fuel pump and all fuses are good but not getting any fuel to system. i turned key on and let the new fuel pump kick on but...

What you need to do is turn the key on and let the fuel pump run. Turn the key off and repeat about 20 times or so. Eventually it will start it just takes some time to get it primed. You can also do that and on the fuel rail there is a re-leaf valve. Crack that open to get the air out until you get a steady fuel stream.

No fuel. replaced pump, still nothing when i turn the key.

Check your fuel pump relay. Also check the fuses.

Wont start, checked the fuse, cant seem to locate fuel filter.

Turn the key to the ON position without starting the car
You should hear the fuel pump running for 5 seconds to prime the fuel up to the engine so it can start. If no sound is coming from the fuel tank area which can be heard with the drivers door opened in a quite area the oil sending unit on the engine needs to be looked at. If its bad the fuel pump will not prime. If the oil sending unit is good the fuel pump is at fault instead
Oil pressure to your engine achieves to close the circuit to this switch which the computer senses. When the oil pressure is up to normal standards the PCM shuts that circuit off and turns on the fuel pump relay

My 2005 dodge stratus will not atart i get not

on an 05 more than likely it is the original battery.. first have the battery checked at auto zone or pep boys, they will for it for free, that and don't listen to that person.. your describing a typical bad battery on a newer car... tell he needs to by a new car himself.. they have electric fuel pumps and that is the last sound you hear before your starter engages... the starter takes so much juice to turn over an engine compared to a fuel pump that it just does nothing afterward.

Old aurora 1995 stalls out and chokes then turns on ]

in the morning before you start your car take the gas cap off slowly and listen for pressure escaping... if it does that means your fuel pump is probably good. Also in a quiet parking spot, doors closed, driver window down, seatbelt on, stick the key in turn to half way and listen very closely and you should hear a whinning noise before you turn the key to the full start position...you should hear a whining sound ever so slightly of you fuel pump priming the pressure in the tank...if it does this then its working also.
