I put a new battery in it. Twice in the last year I have had to put a new battery in the Buick after I let the car sit without starting it for over a week. When I had both old batteries tested, they were bad. Something must be wrong. Please help.
Must be draining while parked...and not fully charging while running...Could be a low out-put alternator...was this car parked for a period of time? Dirty and weak battery posts can also cause this...go back to step one of cleaning and tightening...also check tightness on other end of battery cables...trace both and clean and check...last resort is the starter solenoid is draining the battery when parked...usually a short, or connection, or bad solenoid. Hope this helps.
Sounds like a bad battery or a bad connection

I would first guess the alternator, have it checked for how much power it is putting out with a meter. If it has to be replaced, it is pretty simple to do so and a cheap one can be bought from a nearby salvage yard. Check out www.car-parts.com for the nearest location of a yard that would have your alternator
if you have any further questions, let me know

i had the same problem on my '92 Lesabre ltd. All you need to do it is get the rust off your battery cables, use the wire brush to scrub the contact surfaces. also use a wrench to tighten the bolt to the battery, take precaution as to not to tighten too much , it might beak the battery threads.

Disconnecting the battery (to replace it) has obviously reset something in the computer. I would suggest you call the service dept of a Buick Dealer and ask them how you can reset the computer. They are usually pretty helpful in a case like this
Good luck

that sounds like its the ignitionswitch is going bad on the car or its the ignition its self. it could also be a loose wire going to your starter.
SOURCE: battery goes dead, i mean dead.
u may have parasitic load what that is when like somethin on the car stays on even if u shut everything off causing to drain the battery
Welcome to FIxYa.com
Check for a drain remove the positive side battery connect a test light clamp end to the battery wire and the pointed end to battery post light will be on. Pull one fuse at a time. When test light :light goes out that is the circuit draining the battery
