Aready replaced fuel filter, plugs, wires, and cleaned throttle body.
Check for trouble codes. If you don't know how, go here:

If no codes help you, check the fuel pressure-a weak pump may be the problem. I believe autozone may rent or loan fuel pressure testers.
This may be a Mass Air Flow sensor, but there should be a code if it has a problem. Another possibility is a stuck open EGR valve, or a bad PCV valve. Also could be a large vacuum or air leak, like the intake manifold gasket. Good luck.
Testimonial: "thanks alot my next move is to check fuel pressure but don't know how."
There is a test port on the fuel rail (on top of the engine), may have a cap. Unscrew the cap, and neath it it looks like a tire valve. Hook the tester to it, then turn the key to on, not start. Fuel pressure should be 40-43 psi. Then start engine and check pressure: it is okay if the pressure drops between 3 and 10 psi. It will drop some. While running, pull off the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator (also on the fuel rail). The pressure should rise a little, about 5 psi. If it doesn't, the pressure regulator may be bad, so needs replacing. If it all tests good with right pressure readings, the pump and fuel filter and regulator are good. BTW, if you pull off vacuum line to regulator with the engine running, and there is any evidence of gas in the vacuum line, or if you see a little gas bubbling out of the vacuum fitting, the regulator has definitely failed. Post back for more.

First I'd double check the plugs were attached in the right order if you mix a couple up it can cause symptoms like this. An auto parts store should be able to tell you the firing order for your vehicle. Hope this helps.

sometimes just looking at it doen't prove that
you need to check it with a test light on both blades with either the brake pressed or the signal on. both sides of the fuse should light

requiresa a litte knowledge to analize the info the computer is giving you ? not being smartelec just these cars generally only had minor issues with this condition either the converter was clogged or the mass airflow meter failing both are easy find with proper scanner so you may want to spend the $50 to get it tested good luck

O2 sensor most likely as the check engine light has only to do with emissions.

Personal experience between 13 - 20 for most models with the v-6 and v-8. the 5.7l is about the most fuel efficient at roughly 17

If it sat for 3 years the fuel may be in pretty tough shape. If he gasoline smells like a can of old varnish or turpentine then it may have gummed up either the fuel pump, injectors or both. I would start by testing the fuel pressure with a gauge first to see if it is actually pumping enough fuel to run the engine. If the fuel smells bad or your pump isn't working you may need to have the fuel tank removed and cleaned and the fuel lines flushed to get all the old gunky fuel out of them. Also check to be sure you actually have spark at the plugs so you'll know if the ignition system is still working.
Testimonial: "was pulling the tank when i got the email all i been doing i completely over looked checking for spark at each plug because it starts it has three seperate coils so should have pulled the injectors earlier to poor to have them tested but the screens in the top look pretty fouled tho i truely have never messed with injectors before the fuel smelled good and had not but a few water beads but is a bit thin looking fuel tank pumps and has good pressure at the fuel rail but again no way to actually check pressure thank you for your help"
