SOURCE: 1988 bmw 735i won't start

hi remarkable08;

When you turn the key to start, you should have 12 volts at the small terminal on the starter solenoid.

If you have 12 volts but no cranking the solenoid is not working. If you do not have any voltage on this
terminal there is a problem in the ignition key wiring. If you have no way to measure the voltage, your best bet is to remove the starter and solenoid, take it to an Auto Zone type store and have them check it for you. When you go to remove the starter, be sure to disconnect the ground lead on your battery first.

Hope this helps. Good luck Loringh PS Please leave a rating for me if appropriate. Thanks

SOURCE: BMW E38 735i no reverse gear..????

Before you make any other moves, I would try having the transmission flushed and refilled and filters changed and if that doesn't work, you may have burned out the modulator so you may have to shop around for another transmission or have that one rebuilt, whichever would be feasibly financial for you.

I have a 1990 dodge ramcharger and my trunk signals and brake lights quit working. Pulled the fuses under dash and all of them look good. Are there more fuses somewhere else? Or maybe a relay?

Turn signals have a relay it is called a flasher. Brake light have a switch which is usually at the top of the brake pedal. Should only have 1 fuse per circuit. Have you checked the fuse panel for power to and thru the fuses for the signals and brake lights? Have you checked for power at the flasher and at the lights themselves? You need to do those steps first and you should be able to find the issue.

My left blinker sometimes works and sometimes doesn't and also sometimes I hear a clicking noise when I turn it on then it quits working. Is there a flasher relay for the turn signal, and if so where...

there is a flasher relay for the signals and its located behind the dash on the drivers side sometimes in the lower area of the dash.when the signals are working listen to the clicking noise to narrow down the area the flasher will be in.if all else fails you can go to the library and look for a book on your car and it will have the location in it.also if you know a tech he can help you locate it as well.

I can't find the falsher relay for my BMW 325es, please advice where is the flasher?

The flasher relay is located in the plastic cylinder around the steering column. The steering wheel has to be removed to access 2 screws.

While you're in there spray the switches with an electric cleaner and grease.

If your emergency flashers work, the relay is good and the emergency switch must be good.
Then take a look at the turn signal switch and see if it is connected and is working.

1990 buick lesabre turn signals don't work, hazard flashers work, bulbs are ok, running lights & brake lights work, just installed a new turn signal assembly, thought that would fix the problem, it did...

the turn signal flasher is a small canister-shaped or rectangular unit located under the dash, either in a clip adjacent to the steering column or in the convenience center which is located located under the right side of the dashboard and houses relays and other components. The fuse.faulty flasher unit a broken switch or a loose or open wire. We have eliminated the switch, I would check all fuses inside and out, you can replace the flasher with the hazard flasher as if I remember correctly they are the same shape and size, then it is just a matter with a tester light running it from the column to the sockets and finding the break. Hope this helps Tim

My signals and flasher quit working 2002, Jeep Grand Cherokee

in your vehicles owner manual, look up fuses, and flasher units or flasher relay. Fuses are normally located under the dash, but when both turn signals quit working it is usually the relay. The relay is located under the hood yours owners manual should show you the location.
