It's a pretty easy job if you have the right tools and jacks / axle stands.
Too involved to explain here.. Your best bet is to get a Haynes manual for your car at Amazon (they are pretty cheap when compared to what you pay for an auto technician) and follow the simple step by step instructions.
You need to replace the whole right side axle shaft. Take the ball-joint loose and the axle nut. Pull the shaft from the hub assembly and then pull it from the transmission
Straighten bent claw of large end of boot on DOJ side of axle shaft, then loosen boot band.
Remove boot band on small end of DOJ side in same manner, then slide boot away from joint.
Remove round circlip at neck of outer race on DOJ side with screwdriver.
Remove outer race on DOJ side from shaft assembly.
Remove balls and move cage to boot side, then turn cage by 1/2 pitch to track groove of inner race and remove snap ring, inner race, cage and boot. The CVJ is not to be disassembled.
INSPECTION
Check DOJ and CVJ for seizure, corrosion, damage, or excessive wear.
Check shaft for bending, twisting, damage and wear.
Check boot for wear, warping and cracking.
ASSEMBLY
Install boot on CVJ side and fill with 2-2.5 oz. of special constant velocity joint grease Molylex No. 2 or equivalent.
Position boot from DOJ side at center of shaft, then insert cage of DOJ with recess facing outward.
Install inner race of DOJ onto shaft and secure with snap ring.
Install cage, which was previously positioned, with protruding part aligned with track on inner race and then turn by 1/2 pitch. Apply 0.75-1 oz. of special grease to cage pocket and insert 6 balls into cage pocket, then fill interior of outer race with 0.75-1 oz. of special grease.
Align outer race track and ball positions, then fit outer race to inner race and cage.
Install circlip into groove on outer race of DOJ, then pull shaft to ensure circlip is seated in groove.
Apply 0.75-1 oz. of grease to interior of DOJ and shaft area, then fill boot with 0.75-1 oz. of grease and install. When installing boot, position outer race of DOJ at center of its travel.
Install new boot bands using suitable tool and tighten until it cannot be moved by hand. While tightening band, be sure there is enough air within boot.
Tap on clip of band with suitable punch at end of tightening tool and cut off excess band at about 0.4 inch (10mm) from clip, then bend band over clip.
Fill CVJ boot and CVJ with special grease and install in same manner as D.O.J. boot.
Is the axle removed from the car? If so cut the boot and clean the grease from around where the axle enters the joint. There should be a snap ring there

Hi,if you are talking about the drive shaft cv boot, there is a vidio on you tube showing how to change the drive shaft same perseger, hope this is helpfull, all the best, its a easy fix.
if your cv joint is going bad check the rubber boot located on your front axel if there is a tear in the boot once dirt gets inside the boot depending on how long youve had the noise the cv joint will have to be replaced sometimes the first signs are a clicking noise when turning coming from the cv joint if you catch it early you may get away with just replacing the boot there are two ways of doing this depending on the vehical one is to buy split boot it wraps around the axel and is held together with tiny bolts and nuts the axel doesant have to be removed useing this type you still have to remove the damaged boot and clean the cv joint thoroughly i suggest useing brake parts cleaner be carefull not to get it on any rubber parts or lines then before installing the new boot pack the joint with grease and the boot the other way the old joint must be removed you will have to remove the complete axel assemble the new joint and axel will come as one unit depending on the vehical your balljoint or joints may have to be removed also this method to me is the prefferd way this will assure all is new its more involved but better in the long run
