sounds like the tracking rod may be broken or loose.

In the trunk there is a few links to check and fuses, in the right rear where the battery is check for blown fuses or links also make sure the battery is good, why jump starting? also check in the left rear of the engine compartment and check fuses there, this sounds like the cables may have been hooked wrong.

if the motor is working you need a window regulator as it is stretched causing the anti trap sensor in the motor to kick in

most likely the problem is the window regulator.
