What size light bulb do I need to replace the one behind the temperature control knob (the one for the knob, not the lower button), on a 2005 Honda CRV

What size replacement bulb and can it be Sylvania bulb or is it a dealer part only?

More than likely this is an automotive or standard LED not bulb. Available at Radioshack.

You'll have to remove the plastic cover (from inside the vehicle), there there are three 10mm bolts that hold the base onto the door.

Its a 5 Watt light bulb. Just pull it out and take it to the store with you. Just remove the license plate to get to it.

Push the entire assembly back into the cargo area of the vehicle - it is clipped to the frame. (You may need to use the blade of a screwdriver to pry it loose).

Remove the electrical feed cover (red plastic) from the assembly by depressing the side clip.

Now, holding the asssembly in your hands, remove the lense cover top from the black bottom by depressing the side inserts.

Pull out the bulb, and replace.

Reassemble in the reverse manner.

The entire job should take no more than 3 to 4 minutes.

What size light bulbs are used to replace behind temperature control panel (on the dials not the bottom buttons) on a 2005 CRV, are Sylvania bulbs available, or only a dealer part?

contact Sylvania direct on the net and quote the bulb size (dimensions)and wattage and ask if there is a aftermarket bulb to replace genuine ones with. As car manufacturers do not make bulbs there is every possibility that an after market will be available from the bulb manufacturer.

How do i change bulb in air conditioner panel ny my 2001 jetta

Behind the center knob for the heater controls there is a single small bulb that lights the whole heater control.
Move the switch to the vertical position, move the gear shift out of the way(shift to D or 1 with engine off, and set the parking brake). Use a pair of pliers with a rag to protect the knob and pull the center knob out. The bulb is directly behind it. The best way to remove and replace the bulb is with a piece of rubber vacuum hose. Gently push the hose over the bulb, then pull, the bulb should come out stuck in the hose.
You can install the same way, push the bulb in, then gently pull and twist the hose to release.
Be careful to align the bulb to its socket. If the knob is vertical the taper of the bulb base should also be vertical.
Then just push the knob back on, remembering that it is aligned to a vertical position
