check whether you have air sucked by the engine,or stepper motor if is fitted not working or dirty throttle body.

sounds like you arnt tightening everything properly as when timing is set it shouldnt move

There is no rule on how much mileage you can get out of any car, it all depends on you and up keep of maintenance . You have a loose wire. Will require removing the radio to get to the wire that keeps constant power to the radio ,,,this allows the clock to keep time. An interuption in this power source equal reseting the clock. Good luck
