P0010 code is the camshaft position sensor. If this fails the vehicle will simply shut off.

The codes listed all point to the transmission being in bad shape or some wiring got crossed. Check with a trans shop for an estimate.

SOURCE: what does this mean on my 2005 dodge magnum

the esp stands for electronic stability program,you will need to have the computer scanned for codes, these codes will help in the repair,you may have a bad speed sensor or the check engine light may have shut down the esp,when the engine detects a problem it shuts down the esp because it feels that the esp cant operate correctly when the engine is not running correctly,so the first thing is to scan for the codes, hope this helps, good luck,

Can a P0340 also reflect a broken timing belt?

code p 0340 refers to camshaft position sensor(CMP) sensor A bank 1---circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring---CMP sensor ECM
have the CMP sensor checked / replaced
when you are checking the sensor , turn the engine over and if the camshaft is turning , it is not a timing belt
However if the engine has not had a timing belt changed (requirement at 60K miles) It would be a good move to have it done as it is well over due and will fail soon

Check engine wont go off on my 2005 dodge neon sxt

  • A check engine light means that an error code has been sent to the PCM. The light won't just go off. You have to fix the problem and then clear the codes. But first you have to have the codes read to know what to fix. You can go to any major parts store and have the codes read for free. Then you come post the code[s] here for me to see and then I can assist you from there. The code could be minor or major but you won't know until they are read.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Check engine lights on

You don't have to get it scanned and pay...just put the key in the ignition and turn the car on-off-on-off-on (don't turn ignition on, just power), after 3 turns of the key if there are any trouble codes they should show up in your odometer. There will be "---" between code flashes and when it is done showing codes it will say "done". Google the specific codes it gives you and in a few places they have the full list of code meanings.
