My daughters timing belt broke i got everything to TDC and put on a new belt. The car started but rouns like **** there is a knock and it wont stay idling i was told to do a compression check and this is what i got #1 cylinder 0 psi, #2cylinder just above 100 psi, #3 cylinder about 118 psi and #4 cylinder got about 121 psi my question is 1- how valves does each cylinder have (its a dual overhead cam) and what psi is considered good

first thing i need to know is did the timing belt break?
second is are you sure you aligned the timing marks and after the belt tensioner was tight you rechecked to make sure the timing stayed where you had it.
next step would be a compression check to if a valve was bent whenchanging the belt
i have seen this happen and this engine is an interferance engine.

OK!... did you do a cylinder 'leak down test'?.. .if not, do it! If any 'unacceptable' leakage, have the head REDONE! NOW!.. you must BE SURE the valve timing is accurate!... Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.

With regrets, Not likely, pull the vlave cover and observe the height of the valves, if it is bent it should be not quite as tall as the rest.

Yea, because what probaly happened is that, you dropped a cylinder or two...which means you probaly have bent valves..that's why your compression is way out of wack...I believe that engine is an interference engine..so when the timing became off, the piston hit the valves..and bent them...You can take the heads off and have a machine shop, or you, can put new valves in it...Good Luck
