Woke up one morning and car would not start. no codes listed. switched out pump, ignition switch, crank shalft sensor, fuel filter had 60 to 65 lbs of fuel pressure and also had spark.checked fuses also. any ideas what ?
SOURCE: It will not start. it turns over and cranks but
even though you replaced it, fuel pump sounds bad....when you turn key on (not a crank)....do you hear a whirring noise from the fuel pump?
SOURCE: cranks but won't start, new fuel pump,no power going to pump
look at inerata reset switch check for power at the switch

Hello, Have a comment or two about your car. First thought was about Inertia switch in the rear cargo area of your vehicle. There is a reset button on the impact (inertia) switch for the fuel pump. You should hear the pump run the first second or 2 when you turn your key. It also has a power relay which should be in a black box of relays. There is also an Ignition relay on some Ford products.
When you tried the Starting fluid, you said it did not Start. But did it hit at all? When you did not have any codes on the computer, did the computer and the scanner connect or was the computer dead? Dead computer equals no codes.
There are a few things you can do and what I would try if I was there. Check the relays I mentioned. Go back to the basics and check for spark at the plugs and compression. If possible check fuel pressure at the Injector rail (which could lead back to a bad fuel pressure regulator). Check for power at the TPS switch at the throat of the Airhorn.
If you have no power to the TPS, or the fuel pump, check the Ignition switch. You have power for cranking, but the RUN terminal on the Ignition switch is a different terminal. Now for any missing test tools, you can get Loaners at Autozone and Oreillys with a deposit.
Would like to know the outcome of this problem. Thanks

Its pretty hard to test the fuel pump relay. Easiest way to test fuel function is at the motor from the fuel rail. There should be a high pressure fitting (similar to a tire valve stem) that you can push in to check for fuel. It should squirt out (fuel) if the pump is sending fuel to the motor and if not start back tracking looking for fuel pump/pressures/leak issues. If you decide to replace the relay then I would suspect $30-$50 or find a decent on at a junkyard. The relay should click when ignition is turnerd so u know its working properly.

If you turn the key from off to run ( do not start ) does the theft light go out ?
How did you check the fuel pump relay ? My 2001 at ~ 35K miles the fuel pump relay went out, I checked it by swapping the trailer tow adapter reverse lamp relay into the place of the fuel pump relay.
The thing I am drawing a blank on, and you seem to confirm what I think, is the fuel pump relay is removable in the '02. Must be the '03 when the fuel pump relay became integrated into the fuel panel ( non serviceable ).
If you jumper the fuel pump relay, does it turn on ( red line in picture below )
