By skip I guess you mean engine develops a miss? Could be many things. Dirty fuel filter, bad plug wires, plugs, clogged catalytic converter, bad muffler, bad fuel pressure regulator, bad fuel pump, etc
hi the engine is not skipping the problem is the engine is miss firing that is caused by a bad .spark plug or -wires-or coil pack - when was the last time the car had a tune up . check spark plug connections
make sure you have the correct plug wires going to the correct cylinders. sounds simple enough but my friend made the same mistake on his 98 tahoe and he's been a professional mechanic for 15 yrs
Make sure that all of the sensors are connected. Is the Check Engine light on? Make sure that all of the spark plug wires are still secure.
What do you mean skipping? Is there an ignition miss (e.g. cylinder not firing) or is the ignition cutting out periodically?
When you press the clutch the engine control computer senses the clutch is in and adjusts the idle speed, maybe the idle speed control motor is dirty and sticks, this will almost feel like a skip or miss, do you have any trouble codes?
