What is the problem on my saturn sl 1999 i changed the knock sensor and the crankshaft sensor and it still has hard time starting. In order for it to start you have to hold the gas down while turning the key until it catches. In morning turns on good hour later or if you drive to store come back out it wonnt start up have to hold gas down pumping gas to start did oil change spark plugs fuel filter change still same thing the read codes on it it was the sensor knock and crankshaft changed them still wont turn on right

If it has a timeing sensor on a device that looks like a distributer in older cars it should be changed also. It and the crank sensor share info in order to work properly.

The knock sensor is a piezoelectric device that produces an output voltage based on mechanical engine vibration. The PCM will retard the electronic spark timing on the signal being received. The knock sensor produces an AC signal. The amplitude and signal frequency is dependent upon the knock level. During normal operation, the knock sensor system attempts to filter out all engine noise that is not caused by spark knock. The diagnostic test for DTC P0327 turns OFF all filtering during the first 20 seconds of engine run time. If a sufficient amount of noise is detected during the 20 second test, the diagnostic passes. If no noise is detected, the diagnostic fails. Since DTC P0327 is a type B code, the diagnostic must fail during 2 consecutive ignition cycles to set the DTC.
DTC P0336
The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor defines engine position by generating an electrical pulse each time it passes by a notch of the crankshaft reluctor wheel. The PCM uses crankshaft sensor pulses for fuel delivery and spark timing.

1999 saturn sl, i'm having a hard starting problem, since last week it takes like 2-3 times cranking before starts the car

Your pressure regulator may be failing. If you know where it is located, on th fuel rail; you can unplug the vacuum hose while the engine is running and you should hear a change in rpms if it is working. If you don't hear any difference, it needs replaced.

Have saturn sli 1999- hard starting- replaced temp sensor and put in two fuel pumps- still cranks 5 t0 8 times before starting. dealer says could only be fuel pump, but that has been changed (bosch) oem...

A bad check valve in the fuel pump assembly will do that, but shouldn't if you replaced the whole assembly. If you replaced only the pump itself, they may be right. The other possibility is that the fuel pressure regulator is bleeding off the pressure.

Saturn sl 99 will crank but won't start

i have found on that car if the temp sensor is unpluged or is bad oddly enough it wont let the car start you should check it and or replace it
