Honda Accord won't reverse uphill

Got a 99 Honda Accord SE Auto Exec 1.8, put it in reverse on reasonably steep incline and it wouldn't budge. Gave it a good amount of revs but nothing happened. Although it does reverse on a flat surface. Any suggestions???

Could be shift mechanism, low fluid or clogged trans filter, or bands in trns need adjusting.

1996 Chevy Tahoe won't reverse uphill?

Sounds like marginally low transmission fluid. On the incline the pump and filter isn't fully covered.

I have a 99 Honda accord that makes a loud grinding noise when switching gears from park to reverse and won't go. It is automatic transmission. What could be the problem

Based on Info...
Possible Sun Gear Failure, or Other Internal.
Check Fluid Level. Although it Seems Damage is Done.
Remove and Replace.

My 1993 Honda accord EX , the transmission quit. auto, no gears forward or reverse.

Check the fluid level. Automatic transmissions won't go into gear without enough fluid. If it's low, you've probably got a leak somewhere that you need to find.

Likely it's a coil or the ignition module. Sometimes it's a computer, but not as likely as the former two.

I HAVE A 2001 AZTEK AND WHEN ON AN UPHILL INCLINE STOPPED, YOU MUST KEEP FOOT ON BRAKE OR VEHICLE WILL ROLL BACKWARDS

This is normal, depending on the depth of the hill. This is frequent with standard/manual cars on uphills, they can roll back, but with automatic vehicles they usually have a small amount of throttle, (you'll notice this when putting your vehicle from park into drive with your foot off the break, it'll start slowly moving forward)
Now on the hill, if it's a steep incline your car will move backwards, it all depends on how high your throttle (the car itself) is, and the incline depth of the hill.

2000 honda accord v6, auto. all the lights on the

The lights have nothing to do with your car not going in reverse. I know this is going to sound silly but, are you releasing the parking brake? That brake is the lever between the front seats. Are you taking your foot off the brake?

I know they sound silly but you would be surprised at how often this happens with th eparking brake.

When you put the car in reverse can you feel the transmission engaging? You should feel a slight **** when you put it in reverse with your foot on the brake. If you are not feeling this, your transmission needs to be repaired.

Code P0108 means your MAP sensor circuit is open. MAP means Manifold Absolute Pressure. You should be able to buy one at your local parts store - otherwise, the dealer.
