SOURCE: Replacing a starter for a 1999 Altima

  1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
  2. Disconnect starter wiring from starter.
  3. Remove starter retaining bolts and the starter.
  4. Reverse procedure to install.
the bolts should be on the drivers side.
you will have to crawl underneath the car to do this task

SOURCE: Nissan Altima no cool air blowing or hot air blowing

Hi!
It appears we have an Air lock scenario and you will need to perform a system Bleed.
Park the vehicle on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap, start engine and leave to idle, turn heater on full and blower to max. When engine reaches operating temperature watch and listen near coolant filler, keep clear as gurgling and hopefully a boil over should occur. Top up with very warm coolant and wait as it may do it again.
Check for heat inside vehicle if warm replace coolant cap but keep an eye on temperature gauge as the ~Air lock may have moved on from heater matrix/core so proceedure needs to be carried out again from COLD.

SOURCE: 97 Nissan Altima AC/heater fan only works on highest setting

Sounds like the blower resistor module needs to be replaced. Could also be the switch.

SOURCE: heater blows cold air at low speed and idle

I worked at a Nissan dealer for 18 months and we'd get a lot of these in. The cold heat at idle is accompanied by a sloshing noise from behind the dash - you've got an air pocket in the heater core. What we used to do was lift the front end of the car about 3 feet off the ground using the hoist and take the rad cap off. Then we'd run the engine at a fast idle (jam a screwdiver against the throttle stop to hold it fast or put a slight weight on the pedal if it's Electronic Throttle Body. Run the heater on full heat and the engine like this. You'll see the rad 'burping' as the air in the cooling system travelling to the highest point it can - the open rad cap. Top up with a 50/50 mix of coolant and water as you go. When it burps no more, you have a full cooling system and should not suffer any more "cold heat".

If you do this yourself, PLEASE use jack stands, block the back wheels and put the parking brake on!!!

2007 Nissan Altima. Why does my A.C. not work all the time? It blows cold, but just doesn't turn on for a minute sometimes.

Edited OP question for clarity.

Most likely cause is the A.C. clutch relay, which is the part that _actually_ turns the AC on. Details here.

My 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5 AC not working. When you turn on the AC, It is blowing cold air but it is very low cold.

I suggest putting one can stop leak after that put one can of freon, and see what happen. Do you know how to do? You need a special gauge.

My 94nissan Altima car heater just stopped working, how do I know which part to fix to get heat again?

Check to see if blower is working by running 12v to it. If that works check if your heat/ac controls are working by looking at the area where the flaps are and turning the knobs/buttons. You should hear the flaps move or see the pins of the flaps turn. See if your heater core is working. Should be hot as coolant from engine passes through it.

97 Nissan Maxima heat still blowing when AC is on

Well thinking about the problem there e a flap in the vent pipes to shut off theatre and ac unit perhaps something has got in the pipe and stopping it closing or perhaps your heater control is US and needs replaceing . ( but I take it you have turned your heater to cold )

2005 altima won't blow hot air until the vehicle is rolling. Once it comes to a stop it blows cold air until you move again.

Check the coolant level. If you are low it will stop flowing thru the heater core at low RPMs.
