The maintenance service indicator notifies the driver when the next service is due. Approximately one month before the maintenance service is due, the type of maintenance is indicated in the speedometer display. If one large wrench is shown, a minor service (A) is due. Conversely, if two small wrenches are shown, a major service (B) is due. The value shown in the display may reflect the calculated distance (in miles) or time (in days) remaining. When the maintenance service term has been exceeded, this value is preceded by a "-" (minus symbol). Hello, The Wrench is telling you that your car is due for Service, Simply an oil change and some inspections are due. The 2D means that the service is due in 2 days. Hope that helps, You can go to a Mercedes dealer but they are way over priced, I would recommend finding a local independent Mercedes shops. Usually they are run by Technicians who worked at the dealers anyway. Just FYI.
B2 is a preventive maintenance service you need done, the car is alerting you to the fact it is now due. Call the dealer for details, the cost is around $500
hi this is telling you that the vehicle is coming up to or is due its service, manufacturers now make a point of reminding people that there car needs a service, what happens it, when you get the first service, the mileage is set so if they say you have to have a service every 40,000miles what they do is set it to 39,000 miles then a reminder will start flashing on your dash to remind you, you can get it reset using a reset diagnostic tool, but to be honest, if you have a car like this, i wouldn't want to skip a service....hope that helps
hi this means that the vehicle has now come to the required service interval you have completed the amount of miles required up to this period in other words it need a service...hope this helps
Mercedes Benz , catigorizes the services,
a, b, c , d, , etc. The owners manual should explain what the service is. For Example. service A could mean check all fluids and lube all body parts at 30,000 miles or every 6 months.
Service D could me check and change all fluids. Engine oil, transmission, brake , coolant Etc.
Again check the owners manual for the service or call a Dealer and speak with a Service Advisor in the service department. They will be able to explain it.
Service B means that there is a major service due. Brakes are not related. You will get a break warning light when they are due. The B service includes Oil and filter, Interior dust filter, Tire rotation, check of all the fluids, Lubricate all door and trunk hinges, and engine air filter. Also brake flush every 2 years.
