The driver side suspension stopped lifting, looks like the passenger side works fine and the truck is sitting sideways. What do I check, and where is the best place to start troubleshooting how major the problem is? However I haven't heard the compressor go on either?

Sounds like the seals may have failed in the air shocks themselves. I also think you may have a bleeder valve problem. Follow the lines back and check the bleeder valve to see if it is leaking when you have someone else turn the vehicle on.

I just experience problem with a leak in one of the bags in the back n because i didn’t have the money then to take care of the problem my air compressor burned. I just recently changed the bag and I found it at this website for $160 and the compressor is $210 + shipping. They r a manufactor so what they do they sell u refurnish parts that r as good as new and cheap. U purchase the item and sent them the broken item back n they give u a credit of $50. I made both purchase an air bag n the compressor n so far everything is working fine. The air bag is super easy to change but the air compressor its a little more complicated. The website is http://www.suncoreindustries.com/ and they even sent u the instructions on how to do it urself. Hope this was helpful!
SOURCE: rear air suspension is not at level left is higher than the right
I have the exact same problem but my Left side is "Lower" than the right side.... Go Figure, Let's switch Solenoid's... Lol. I haven't seen a fix for this yet... there is 1 ride height sensor bolted to the rear but it's for both sides. the following site seems to be recommended by most Expo owners on all of the ford forums.. Check them out.

SOURCE: The rear suspension is down on my 1999 Ford
I had a 1999 Expedition. When you put the 4x4 on it raises the vehicle an extra inch or 2.
It may help to turn the 4x4 off. Two wheel drive is a lower air setting.
Your original pump may still be good. The problem can be in the front. The compressor is not filling the front suspension to the cutoff point. It will lift the rear after the front end is at running height. Since you lost the front end first, the remaining air bled out there and then the rear came down. Once you shut down the car the suspension was done, all the air was let go.
There are adjustment solenoids on the body but you need someone qualified to repair this.

Remove the negative cable from your car battery before replacing car air bags
Deactivate the air bag by removing the air bag fuses. Look in your car owners manual to locate the fuses
Unscrew steering column paneling and remove the airbag bolts on the back side of the steering wheel. Pull out the airbag until you see the back side and unplug the wires
