Bought the car and do not have a manual and was trying to replace the license plate lamp.. there seems to be no harness for the bulb so was wondering if this was normal because all that was there was the wiring and the plug in connection... basically just need to know if there is an actual harness for that bulb that I need to get

There's no need to take the whole back panel off to do it, the light cover on the bulb twists out, and it might take some elbow grease to twist it, then the bulb is easy to change.
Good luck,
Eitan.

Hi,
Their is a plastic lens covering the licence plate bulb. I can be removed by using a flat-tipped screwdriver covered by a shop towel (or tape) on the right side of the lens. It should pop off where you can access the bulb.
Good Luck!

OK>>> it is very cold here, but nonetheless..I went outside to check on my Oldsmobile for your benefit....On mine (I can't guarantee it is the same for all of the vehicles listed above). If you are looking at the license plate, LOOK UP and you should see the bulb and whatever encasing is there. Mine is in a tube and it is attached with (2) mini bolts that will need to come out first, then it just looks like a simple matter of disconnecting the electrical plug, taking out the old bulb and putting the new one in. I hope this helps someone....

Its a 5 Watt light bulb. Just pull it out and take it to the store with you. Just remove the license plate to get to it.
