Where is the AC low pressure fill valve located?

Had this happen to my 95, had to disconnect the battery for 5 min to reset the compressor. Then after re-connecting, turn a/c on high to refill with refrigerant. Best of luck with your problem.

Look on the AC compressor there should be 2 lines coming out. The low side is usually larger in diameter, not always they can be the same in diameter. Sometimes the low side has a blue cap. If the compressor is still working and you are just topping the system off, the high side will be HOT to the touch. It will burn you after it has been operating a while. The low side also comes from your filter/dryer. Your high side general runs straight to your condenser (thats the heat exchanger thats usually near the radiator. I hope this helps.

check your on board dash codes, sounds like it could be your orfice tube is bad or it could be your hi side thermister. your dash code will give code for that. I have a 2000 eldorado and had the same prob and it was the hi side thermister. (its just a lil plug like thing) I went to a upull it and they didn't even charge me for it and on my car it was located close to the orfice tube on ac line by firewall. with that you don't have to lose your systems freon or have to pay for someone with the recovery unit but if its a bad orfice tube you have to break down the system :( hope this helps

either on the low side hose normally it is on the accumulator bottle which also has the clutch cycling switch for the a/c compressor
hose and an a/c line to remove cap and hook up hose. Nothing has to be removed to locate the valve just a little touchy feely. Valve faces a 45 forward toward the engine.
