The 750mcode allows the transmission to shift from first to second gear via a shift solenoid. The 706 code is for the shift linkage itself. Telling the transmission is in park neutral, drive etc. This sounds like a problem in the wiring, check all connector plugs for corrosion or shorts and bad connections. The 706 may cause the 750 code to appear. This may be that the linkage range sensor is telling the ECM that the unit is in reverse, neutral or low gear, which would not then send signal to the shift solenoid and thus pop up the 750 code.
Yes! One is related to the other. The first is low/reverse solenoid malfunction and the second is an indication of range failure.

im not a trans. expert but would verify the range sensor (gear indicating sensor) is working properly and the L/R solenoid is ok. those are the 2 suspects for your problem
