Water is leaking into the left rear tail light and trunk. I have read this is a known problem for these vehicles. Where does the leak usually occur?
Check that the tail light assembly is sealed all the way around the unit. Some units are fitted with a sealer and others use a rubber gasket. Reseal or use a new gasket under the assembly

It's most likely the weather stripping along the top of your trunk, where the hinges are. There is probably a bad contact, or missing the weather stripping.
pour a small amount of water down the back of the car, give it some time and then take a look inside maybe you will see where it's dripping from. if you can, fold your seats down and sit inside the car with a flashlight while someone else empties a glass of water approx. on your back window, roof of car etc.

SOURCE: Just bought a used 2008 Aveo5. When it rains,
being 2008, is should still be under the warranty. Take it to the car wash and use one of the high pressure washing machine and see where is coming in from. more likely will be the tail light. if its hatchback have someone sit in the back with a flash light and while spraying the water have that person observing the leaks.

look for manual in glove box under fuses and find the one for those lights really sounds like a fuse
