I own a 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4X4. The door locks and windshield wipers don't work and the 4 wheel drive light for repair is illuminated. Do you know what might be wrong?

This code is normally caused by a loose gas cap or a bad EGR valve. It is the code for the evap system on your truck. You can go to autozone and they will clear the code for you if you can not do it yourself. You may need to replace the gas cap and or the EGR valve if the code comes back up, these are normally one time things due to the cap not being fully tightened.

4x4 issue could be either the TCCM Transfer Case Control Module, or the transfer case shift motor.

When you turn your dash switch from 2wd to 4HI, can you hear the shift motor underneath operating?

Almost all atf fluid goes in any transmission. If you look on the bottle it will tell you that in goes in all the vehicles listed, There are a few vehicles out ther that take special fluid, yours is not one of them.

try picking up a blower motor resistor, about 10-20 dollars at a local part store. then check this blog out. I have replaced 4 in my 2004 dakota, Takes about 10 minutes to replace, located on passanger side of truck above floor.

P0440-GENERAL EVAP SYSTEM FAILURE, Check your vacuum hoes by the cannister close to your fuel tank.
P0442: Evap leak monitor, Small Leak Detected, check/change your gas cap should fix that problem!
