Hi. If your are faceing the front of the car it will be on your left side at the bottom. You will have to get under the car to see it and if you have a skid plate i has to come down first.

Hello mike_potts07: My name is Roger and I will answer your question. The suggested miles to change your timing belt is 60,000 miles. This is manufacturers recommended service interval. Also this motor is an interference motor. What that means is if the timing belt breaks. The valves in the head will be hit by the pistons. This will bend all valves that are open at that time.

raise the front end.
Starter is mounted to the lower-left side of the engine.
You didn't specify an engine, so assuming the 2.7 V6.
Starter is a cylindrical canister about the size of a large can of beans...Follow the heavy red cable from the battery down to the front of the starter.
*You may need to remove the transaxle cables for access*
Take the old starter with you to buy the replacement, and you'll get your core credit on-the-spot.
As a side note: the '02 models were recalled in Jan '03 for faulty starter assemblies...but I don't see a note on the '03.
