I just got the car , no manual. I need to know which gear is for driving, D3 or D4?
D4 for the majority of your driving (like 99% of it), D3 if you're in a really hilly area or pulling a trailer. In D4 you'll get 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th and 4+OD (or 4th with the torque converter locked in). In D3 you'll get 1st, 2nd and 3rd in a 93 I don't remember if it will give you 3+OD but I doubt it.
There is only one on any vehicle that you ever use
There are no choices
Always the highest number
Usually just D or D4,D5
D4 is where you want to spend most of your time as this is the overdrive gear. About the only time you will need to run in D3 is if you are climbing steep grades or, if equipped with a tow kit, pulling a load.

Here's a link to free downloadable owner manuals. You should be able to find what you need there. Good luck!

you have a transmission fault the D4 light blinks to tell you that there is a transmission problem when the light is blinking the transmission computer put the transmission into limp home mode so it will not shift normally and you should try not to drive it very far when it gets to this stage you need to have the transmission codes check to pin point the problem

Hello , It is prob the OD. solenoid engageing to early or intermittently , or the locking converter is not locking and passing all torque to the wheels

Has anyone change the transmission fluid and used anything other than Honda ATF-Z1. If so, have the fluid/filter changed in this car and use only Honda Fluid. This is the only fluid that you can use in a Honda. Even if you have used the correct fluid an fluid/filter change may help. If that is not the case then I suggest you seek out a trusted professional.
