The fuse my have blow when the bulb did, check and see if you have power and ground at the dome light, if so, check the new bulb for continuity , if not, check the dome light fuse.
running lights are not controlled by the dash dimmer switch. the problem will be either in the light switch ( first position is running lights) wires to the switch or fuses
it is usually control by the tail lights fuse. is your tail light working properly? if it is your dimer switsh may be damaged chec the fuse that states'' tail''.
check and see if you have power to your switch, it might just be a fuse. worse case is you'll have to change the actual lights. was it starting to get dimer and dimmer?
