Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. First of all you’ll need to check battery voltage, recharge it if it is low or jump start with another battery charger. Inspect, clean and tight both ends of all battery cables. Also check, clean and tight wiring connections. Check for voltage at relay. If relay has voltage but there is no "click" when key is turned to start, replace relay. Remove starter and inspect drive gear and flywheel teeth, replace damaged parts if necessary. Check to see if voltage reaches starter relay/solenoid when turn to start. If not, check for open P/N switch and brake or clutch pedal switch. Please pry the interior panel and release the inside door locks. If still the issue is not resolved then you’ll need to drill a two inch hole into the latch to access the inside lock link through the interior panel. After removing the panel replaces the latch to resolve the issue. See the picture where to drill---

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

SOURCE: 2000 chevy truck power window problem. Window just

Okay, the window circuit in your truck is different from most power window circuits, in that the master switch provides battery positive power to the driver's window and only provides grounds for the relays that control the passenger window. The master switch is probably not getting the battery power needed to operate the driver's window. Since both windows are supplied battery voltage from the same self-resetting breaker - and the passenger window works, then the breaker is good. The next step is to check for battery voltage at the DARK GREEN wire at the driver's door switch on pin "F". I'm not really a betting man, but I would wager that there is no power there. If you find that battery voltage is not present at the switch, the MOST LIKELY cause would be that the DARK GREEN wire is broken inside the umbilical between the body and the door. The proper way to fix this is to remove the wiring harness from the door and disassemble it to access the wires. This way, it can be put back as close as possible to original. Some mechanics are not willing go through all of this and will cut the umbilical. (Rubber protection sleeve) This can get your window to work, but leaves the wires exposed for future damage. I personally don't recommend this. It takes a lot more time and effort to do this correctly, but in the long-run it is worth it.

I looked through all the wiring diagrams for your car for each of those circuits, I do see one fuse in common for each one but am almost sure it is a main relay for the body control modulr itself. Below is the wiring diagrams for each of the circuits you are talking about. In each one it does show a main fuse that is right at the battery. A 50 amp fuse (see red arrow in each picture). Other than that I am pretty sure you are dealing with the body control module itself. There are ways to re-route the wiring to get power to each circuit but it is detailed but can be done. If you are unable to get the body control module (if it is bad and not the fuse by the battery) and need some instructions on re-routing, feel free to email me at csautomotivecars@att,net. I will do my best to give you instructions and pictures to take care of it. If the fuse is blown be sure to disconnect the battery before you replace it. Also if it is blown you may be looking at another problem as to why it blew in the first place. I know this sounds kind of confusing but your vehicle is controlled by modules/computers that control everything from how the engine runs and all the electrical features. I hope this helps you a liltte at least. Here are those wiring diagrams:

Where is the window relay switch located on a 1996 Pontiac Bonneville?

If the sun roof works, the problem isn't circuit breaker or relay.
I'd get at the wiring harness on hinge side of driver door, probably has a protective covering, pull the covering back so you can see wire colors. Brown is voltage for power windows, black is ground.
According to my database, the sun roof and power windows use the same circuit breaker and relay. Your owners manual should give you the location of circuit breaker and relay, I just looked at your owners manual, it just said sun roof for the relay, but, power windows work off same relay.
If you don't have an owners manual, you can read one for free online, at www.my.gm.com
You'll have to type in year--make model.

Olds aurora 1999 all four power windows quit working at one time. power sunroof still works.

Then you have two possibilities. First, most likely. Wires have broken. Open the drivers door and at the front you will see a rubber boot from the frame to the door. This is where the wires like to break. Second would be the master switch failed. I have replaced one or two(in 30 years) that the switch completely died. Usually just one or two windows quit working.

The interior lights dont turn on, sun roof & car windows dont open

Sounds like a broken wire on the drivers side . A rubber boot at the front of the door. This is where the wires break first. To check for power and ground to the parts you have to pull the switches and door panel.

I have a 2004 mini cooper convertible. The roof opens to half way and will then flash red if i want it ti close all the way, All windows shut initally, but now when closing the roof the driver side rear...

I am not sure what you are trying to do. But if the problem is that the roof will only open to the first stage, sun roof, and no further, the problem is the package shelf in the trunk.

If the package lid gets pushed up and is not pushed back to it's normal position, the roof will fail to open completely. If you lift the bottom of the roof at the boot, there are levers on either side to release the bottom edge of the roof, you can make certain that the package shelf is seated correctly. Once the shelf is seated, the roof will open in all of it's glory.

Power sun roof

It may be a circuit breaker. My windows and door locks stopped working, even after checking all fuses and replacing Main Driver side door switch! Found three circuit breakers that you can reset with a paper clip or small screwdriver. They were black with an aluminum cover on top. They don't come out easily, just insert the pin on each one.
