My 99 pontiac grand am is puting after I did my spark plug wires what might the problem be

Did you make sure that the wires are going to the same spark plugs from the distributor. There is a firing order and if the wires are in the wrong order that will cause your car to sputter or not run at all.

I do not know if you have the 3.1L V6 or the 3.8L (including Super Charger) V6; however I have included both below...

For the 3.1L V6:

Removing Plug Wires from '02 Pontiac Grand Prix, 3.8 Liter V6

You will need to remove the coil packs first. To remove coil packs, undo 4 bolts and tip the coils over to the side.

How old are the spark plugs and wires. GM vehicles are great runners until something goes wrong with the typical spark or fuel delivery issues. Wires or fouled plugs may not set off the computer, it will just run crappy.

The plugs that SHOULD of gone into the car SHOULD of been delco platinum's. You cannot set the gap on these, you will damage the plugs if you try. There could be a problem else where in the car besides the plugs and wires. You sure the coils are good? Meaning do you have spark to the new plugs via the new wires?
