Need detailed gm diagram to find out what pieces i need to repair my van

Need various heater hose parts for my 1999 Chevy Venture. My mechanic said they don't manufacture the parts anymore. He gave me a diagram and highlighted the pieces I need. Problem is that I don't know the name of the pieces.

You should be ableto obtain a diagram of the heater hose circuit from the dealer evenj though he doesn't carry the part. If not, autozone or an alike store should be able to come up with one. Then take it to your mechanic and have him mark the parts you need.someone will have the parts even if you have to go to the salvage yard

SOURCE: DIC doesn't work

Are you talking about the one in the roof console, near the windshield?
With the key OFF:
Depress and hold the MODE and the ENGLISH/METRIC buttons.
With these two buttons still depressed, turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

When you do this all display segments will light for 2 seconds then off for 2 seconds, then it should show "PS" then turn off. After this, then unit may show E1, E2, E3 or E4. If E and a number (E1) didn't come up, then there are no errors in the System.

Turn the van off, then....to set the compass, find your location on the map picture. The number you fall under is your zone number.

Turn the ignition ON.

Cycle the driver information center (DIC) to the Compass/Temperature mode.
Press both the E/M and the MODE buttons for approximately 5 seconds.
The last entered variance zone number will be displayed.

Press the E/M button until the proper variance number (See picture) is showing.
Press the MODE button in order to set the new variance zone and resume normal operation.

Note: The features are controlled by outside data. The only feature that is self contained in the unit is the compass, and if it is not working correctly, then the unit is malfunctioning and I would suggest replacing it with a new one.

Perform these steps on more time. If it still does not work right, then the unit will need to be replaced.

Turn the ignition ON.
Cycle the driver information center (DIC) to the Compass/Temperature mode.
Press both the E/M and the MODE buttons for at least 10 seconds until the calibration symbol appears.
Release both buttons once the calibration symbol appears.
Complete 3 360° turns in an area free from large metal objects.

But I would wait before replacing it. Drive it around normal for a day first. If it nothing happens then, then replace it. The compass will not always calibrate right away.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Heater hose diagram 1999 Chevy Venture with rear heat and air.

I couldn't find a heater hose diagram specific to the 1999 Chevrolet Venture with rear heat and air, but I can give you the general location of the heater hoses and how to identify which ones go to the rear heat. The heater hoses on a 1999 Chevy Venture are located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. There are two heater hoses, one that is hot and one that is cold. The hot heater hose will be connected to the heater core, which is located under the dashboard. The cold heater hose will be connected to the engine. To identify which heater hose goes to the rear heat, you can look for the hose that is connected to the heater core outlet that is labeled "Rear Heat." The other heater hose will be connected to the heater core outlet that is labeled "Heating Core Inlet." Once you have identified the heater hoses that go to the rear heat, you can reconnect them to the heater core. Be sure to use new clamps when you reconnect the hoses. Here are the steps on how to replace the heater hoses on a 1999 Chevy Venture with rear heat and air: Disconnect the negative battery cable. Drain the coolant from the radiator. Remove the heater hoses from the engine and heater core. Install the new heater hoses. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Reconnect the battery cable. Start the engine and check for leaks.

The heater doesn't work very well on my 2000 Chevy Venture van. I'm wondering if I should try replacing the thermostat. Or, it is all computer controlled now.

If heat gauge reads normal, stays in the middle, then you do not need to mes up with the thermostat. I own a 2000 Chevy Venture and changing the thermostat was not fan.
It may be the Temperature Control Module, which you can buy for $45 and replace without problem, or may be an partially obstructed heating core. The GM Dex-Cool antifreeze, the read one, has additives, but if you do not flush the radiator every 2 or 3 years, can result in partially clogged heater core. I have done on my car twice till now, and replaced with green Prestone, on my own risk. Hope this will help. If need more information let me know. A have the Haynes manual for Chevy Venture 2000, and I am a car dealer.

99 Chevy Venture dash board lights and tail lights

So are the fuses getting power, they should be labeled. like tail or ctsy, or inst? The dash lights are usually 5 amps. You will need to get a wiring diagram to ck it out. but you may need to start by looking at the headlamp switch. I cant believe any GM dealer could not help you. Forget anyone from a auto parts store being any help. I can ck tomorrow when at work for a diagram.

Why does the front heater blower fan not come on and the back fan does on a 2004 chevy venture van

They each have there on blower resistor circuit, and GM has been having blower resistor problems for years in all there models. It is located on the frt pass side below the dash in the heater case 2 bolts hold it in just unplug the 4-5 wire connector and use a 5.5mm socket to remove bolts and replace it with a new one if it is burnt out usually shows a black burnt mark on the resistor card.

1999 Chevy Venture Problems

you have 4 water lines, they are 2 radiator hoses (top and bottom) the bottom one runs from the lower part of the radiator to the water pump, the top radiator hose runs from the upper part of the radiator to the thermostat housing

2 heater hoses, they go from the water pump to the firewall.

if you know which one has a hole then you should take the van to a parts store (if you can safely drive it that far) and show them, they can get the right one for you... and sometimes you can talk someone into putting it on for you.

as for the fluctuating gauges you probably need new sending units for the temp gauge and fuel gauge
