There is a service bulletin that states the turn signal switch is faulty and that is the cause of this loss of turn signals. This is not a recall just an advisory bulletin sent to GM dealers for technicians. Years with tis problem are 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, more2008, 2009, 2011 You should be able to buy a switch here. There is a turn signal flasher under dash...most have a flasher for the emergency signals and one for the turn signals...some have one flasher....but check fuses first...normally it is fuse burnt...if you can locate the flasher normally they will get abnormally warm when bad......it should look like a round or square silver shiney or black cube.........if these are good with ign.on hold turn signal lever down firmly ...if it works replace turn signal unit.....if none of this works you have to troubleshoot wiring...
...normally yellow wire is left turn and green wire is right turn...black or white is ground red is stop light....but normally it is a blown fuse or flasher.
CHECK BLOWER MOTOR FUSE AND RELAY.IF ALL IS GOOD.CHECK TO SEE IF BLOWER IS GETTING POWER.IF NOT.SWITCH IS BAD.IF YES REPLACE BLOWER MOTOR.IF TURN SIGNALS STOP WORKING.CHECK FUSE FIRST.IF FUSE LOOK GOOD. CHECK BULBS TO SEE IF THEY ARE BLOWN.IF BULBS LOOK GOOD PROBLEM COULD BE WORN OR CORRODED BULB SOCKETS OR.BAD GROUND.OR THE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH IS BAD.
