1992 prelude si - battery/alternator prob?

I have a 92 honda prelude si. I have gone through 4 batteries within a month. I have replaced the alternator with a new one, replaced battery cables/terminals. Continues to drain the battery within a 24 hour period. The dash goes completely dim while driving and then motor loses power then dies. My battery is 540 - too small??

If you can charge the battery and drive it for a while then sounds like the altenator has failed and is not re-charging the battery, good way to test is to charge the battery, start the car and turn the light on, if everything is dimm or the motor dies there is little to no charge voltage, and will require altenator work

1994 Honda Prelude si starting problems

Your starter motor is either not getting power or in need of replacement. Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with your car.

Also check your battery connections for no corrosion there as well as by the starter motor. Low voltage circuits in a car are extremely vulnerable to poor contact issues.

1992 Honda Prelude Si brake caliper piston prob

As your car has a handbrake fitted to the rear calipers, you will need a piston wind in tool to retract the piston fully back into the caliper as when you adjust your handbrake the piston automatically winds itself to the required position for usage without this tool you are getting nowhere,so get hold of a tool to do the job and you should not have problem unless the piston has totally siezed on the screw then you will have a problem being the only way to repair would to be a new or refurbished caliper.

Hello my 1992 prelude battry warning ligt stays on wat does this mean

Either your battery is bad or your alternator is not charging the battery correctly. Start the engine then remove the Negative battery terminal. If the vehicle dies you need to have the alternator replaced. If not then replace the battery.

Following rear end accident damage Battery goes flat.

I disagree with main dealer,YOU DO have a trickle surge, who ever did the repair should have checked your wiring loom from contacted copllision area back to your indicator clusters even your interior boot light ( normally the culprit ) have someone take both leads off battery, connect a meter to either treminal and remove each individual fuse, that will diagnose the problem area. good luck col leeds
