How do I check engine fault codes?
SOURCE: 2005 Chevy Cobalt, how do you reset a fault code?
Your car has a OBD2 hook up under the dash somewhere on the drivers side, You have to have a computer to hook up to that ODB plug and reset it, If you live near a Autozone they will clear the code for you for free, One other thing you try is disconnecting your battery for about 30 mins, that works on alot cars to reset the check light.

can be a number of things from fuel pump to coil pack but check the egr valve may be starting to go -remove and check for carbon build up if not fully encrusted use a carb/or a carbon cleaning solution to clean and free up valve--most problems give a code but -fuel pump-filter-air filter dont and egr will sometimes set off other sensors but usually doesnt until its to late

The o2 is just reporting information,it did not mean that it was bad, there is either restriction,in the cat,or there is a contamination in the fuel,an additive might clear it up,maybe.
