91 continental remove trans - 1991 Lincoln Continental

Undo the top and bottom radiato hoses.r ,remove the trans cooling pipes,remove the support bolts and electric fans if fitted,it should then lift out.

It attaches like a speedo cable used too. It just has one bolt holding it clamped into the trans tail shaft, LH side, with a plug on it instead of a cable. If you jack the rear up high, you may not lose any trans fluid. either way, check trans fluid level when you're done and make sure the plastic gear is the same color (number of teeth).

Have to remove the oil pan
on trans

Not home driveway job

ALL transaxles should be removed on
on indoor lift, such as a trans repair shop

You won't have much room on jack stands
to swing the subframe out of the way

The 1991 Lincoln Continental uses Peak/50/50 long life antifreeze and coolant

look for hidden bolts holding the trans in, especially on the firewall side, then the trans slips out from underneath

whell the computer doesent know u converted your syspension, so u have to get the dealer to tern it off with a diagnostic computer, if thay can?

It is an ABS issue.
