Loud whining noise especially on exceleration in 2010 Mazda Tribute

A loud whining noise on acceleration in a 2010 Mazda Tribute could be a sign of a few different issues. Here are some potential causes:
  1. Power steering pump: A whining noise can be an indication of a failing power steering pump. The noise may increase when the steering wheel is turned.
  2. Alternator: If the whining noise increases with engine speed, the alternator may be failing. This is because the alternator is responsible for charging the battery and powering the car's electrical system.
  3. Transmission: A whining noise during acceleration could also be a sign of transmission issues, such as low transmission fluid levels, worn bearings, or a damaged gear.
  4. Differential: A whining noise that increases with speed could also be a sign of a failing differential. This is the part of the car that transfers power from the engine to the wheels.
It's important to have a professional mechanic diagnose and fix the issue to prevent further damage to your vehicle.

How to remove the whining from xc90 frontend

Whining from the engine or the driveline itself? Whining can be caused by lack of or low lubricant, a bad bearing or a serpentine belt on the way out. Can you be more specific? Does it only whine while you are driving, or does it whine all the time and changes pitch with engine RPM? Does turning the tires change the noise, if so, does it go away in one direction but not the other, or does it increase in noise the closer you get to full lock on the steering wheel?

Makes whining noise

This could be a stuck Bendix gear. The Bendix gear is the gear that engages with the flywheel on the engine when you start the car, and if it hasn't retracted it will whine.

Check with a local garage, but do so soon.

03 nissan altima high pitch whine from engine

I assume that you have a 6cyl engine, noise came from both worned secondary timing chain tenssioner shoes, just replace those two and while you have them all apart, also replace main tenssioner and guide, then all noises will go away. Good luck!

Whining in the engine

I had the same whining noise, but after a minute or two it would go away. It turned out to be my water pump. It wouldnt turn first thing in the morning and the belt was just running through the pulley, (causing the whining noise). This may not be your problem, but it is easy to check. Just pop your hood and see if the fan is turning.

A high pitched whining noise in the engine.

This Noise Description sounds Indicative of the Sounds that come from the Serpentine Belt Or Related parts such as Belt Idler Pulley or Belt Tentioner witch also has a Pulley, but if Tensioner itself is Literally BROKE I've replaced a number like this it will cause a Whining noise . Best case scenario its just the Belt, and if any of the other Problems turn out to be the Culprit the Belt MUST be Replaced Anyhow as Damage is Being caused By the Very Whining you hear.
PLEASE Spend the Extras $ for the BEST BELT as this Drives your Water pump, Alternator, A/C Compressor, Power Steering Pump All Crucial to Control of, easy Steering ,All Electrical-Power Distribution, The COOLING of Engine << VERY CRITICAL Component
The Pulleys usually have a more Hum type Whining. So I would say at Best The BELT , And WORST Belt Tentioner is Broke
