The fuse that controls the running board lights, power windows and window shield wipers keeps blowing. I believe it might have something to do with the cruise control that is not working. I am trying to find out how I can disconnect the cruise control to see if this is the problem. If I can get the fuse to last long enough, then I can take it to the shop to be repaired.

Hey Jb,
Does this situation prevent the vehicle being driven??.. Here is a diagram of the fuse box,,, try a slightly larger fuse (replace a 15 with a 20 - NO MORE than 5 AMPS up!!)
This is a link to a diagram of the fuse panels...

possibly the cruise cancel switch on the brake master cylinder is shorted, disconnect the switch and replace the fuse and see if everything comes back to life. the switch may be on the end of the master cylinder, Ford has had BIG problems and RECALLS for this switch going bad.

SOURCE: Wind shield wiper blowing fuses

You have a short circuit to ground when the switch for the wipers is turned on. It does absolutely no good to keep replacing the fuse until the short circuit has been located and repaired. I guess you are just starting to figure this out five fuses later.

The lesson here is that fuses do not cause electrical circuit failures. Electrical circuit failures cause blown fuses. There are many people that do not understand this.

If the fuse remains intact until you turn the switch on, you will find the problem between the wiper (combination) switch and the wiper motor assembly or the wiper motor itself.

01 FORD F150 STYLESIDE CREW WINDOWS AND WIPERS WILL NOT WORK. BLOWING FUSES

I would check for traces of water that have leaked into the inside fuse panel. You can sometime see rust marks on the metal parts of the dash around the fuse panel. There is a module on the back of the fuse panel and wire connectors that you can remove and inspect for water. If you find water in the fuse panel...the module and fuse will need to be replaced. If no water is found...the circuit that keeps blowing the fuse will need to be traced for a short. I could not find any common circuits for the wipers, power windows or lights.
