fresh water there has only 2 sources.
1: rain (or parked near powerful sprinklers)
2: condensate from HVAC Evaporator pan drain clogged
are you using AC cooling? yes/no? or heater mode,in defrost ,mode ,yes/no? ,if NO and NO, see #1
rain gets from bad door gaskets(seals), or broken glass or from
front top , front of windshield glass ,cowling drains clogged.
IS water (rain) and not AF50% antifreeze
not AC condensate drain, clogged if not using AC or Defrost.. then it is not that or not use AC or Defrost to prove it.
did it ever not leak since bought it.?
first time not in a garage?

sorry for questions, cant fix cars blind lacking questions
ONE MORE,
the car has Cowling up front that does 2 things (3?)
1: hides wiper motor guts rods, links'
2:has that drains and has a Cofferdam that provides
that fresh air to HVAC, in dash. if the drains clog up
the lake there fills up with rain and over the DAM it goes. (caused by parking under trees)
did I get them all? hope so.
well rust in the cowl sure. in the salt belt?
rust happens , where who knows?
if raining 100% normal. (rag top or hard top,?)
if the HVAC condensate drain PORT under car leaks pure water again 100 % normal. on AC or defrost modes, just like a beer can is wet .
same physics,(condensation)
if water is not water but is Green Coolant that is engine leaks.hoses, or RAD or over filled recover bottle. or
top of engine V gasket front ;rear leaks or coolant pump.
bad thermostat housing leaks too or wrong inside it gasket.
or heater core to right passenger floor well, core is bad.
my 08 jeep (rag) has no body drains for rag rain failures.
but the front cowl vents do. (so as not to food out HVAC air induction ports)
but not told what water means to you? rain
condensate.
or engine coolant.
Before going to the dealer for an expensive solution, try these DIY steps:
1. Open the boot and remove the carpet trim on the passenger side
2. Now, you will have all the wires in front of you, disconnect the black colored big multi-plug (you won't miss it)
3. Inspect if there is any water left behind from the rain, or if there are any corroded terminals
4. Wipe out the water and clean the terminals, use WD40 to rid it from corrosion, this will fix the issue
5. To ensure that this may not happen again - fill the plug with an electric contact grease, now the water cannot enter
6. Also, inspect the boot hinges and rear light cluster and see if there any leaks as water normally enters the boot from there; if so, fix the leak.
several qs. What year make and model is the car? Is car level when water fills floor? Does it always happen every time it rains fairly heavily? Is the trunk always dry? Talk to other owners for their experience.
You have a drain plugged in the filler basin. Also, for freezing weather, keep a bottle of de-icer liquid handy in case your gas cap gets stuck.Been there, suffered that! Owned several Marquis cars. Great cars! don-ohio (^)
Check all the seals around your windows and doors. Leaks could seep in through there drips at a time and fill the seats. also check the seals around your front windsheild.
quickest way is too drill a hole in the floor ,what comes in can go out again .now as for finding the leak ?? the last one i done was a nissan and i had to try to poke a thin wire down it and blow it through with a airline ,their was four water outlets on that car two at the front and two at the back ,the fronts dripped out at the front and the rears run down the centre door pillars.
