How do you clamp the regulator to passenger door if the window clamps are in the way on a 2003 GMC Sierra? The window clamps won't go down much, I just have to clamp the regulator and crew it down and then...

Its best to attach the regulator to the door frame with the bolts first. Then plug in the motor and run it to the bottom. Then attach window glass to regulator, with the bolts. Do Not run the window up to the top without the glass attached. The cables will run off the end of the regulator channels. Approximately half way up the window to glass bolts will also line up thru holes in the frame. You can disattach the glass and hold it in place by simply using duct tape to the glass and the upper door frame. It will stay in place.

Will a slim jim unlock the door to a 04 gmc sierra

Hi, a slim jim will unlock the door, it has to be done in the rear of the glass, between the glass, and molding, you want to go to the door latch area, (mid door), from there it's all you, do not force anything, as you can pop off the control rods, and the door would have to come apart. Good luck...Coop

92 gmc 350 pickup....rough idle..have replaced MAP sensor, fuel filter,PCV valve, and idle control on throttle body...still having the problem

This could be a couple of things:
  1. Check that you have not got any vacum leaks between inlet manifold and cylinder head.
  2. Check your spark plugs and HT leads are in good condition and not worn, reset gaps. If worn replace them.
Worse scenario is the head gasket make be leaking water into a cylinder. Get a cylinder leakage test done to verify any manifold air leaks or faulty sealing head gaskets.
Good luck, let me know how you get on.

Power mirrors are loose, how do i tighten them?

Hi, if the complete unit is loose you will find bolts on the inside of the door just above the door panel behind a cover (usually a triangular shaped cover), that you will have to tighten. If the mirror glass is loose you should find a hole underneath the mirror housing where you have to put a screw driver in and tighten the screw on the inside to secure the glass.

You should be able to replace the glass, but I believe it is glued in place. You should be able to tell as you remove the old pieces. It is a special white glue.
I was able to get a great price for the whole mirror on ebay. even the ones with signals and heated.

Hope this helps
