Horn blows by it self then blows the fuse
SOURCE: horn fuse keeps blowing out
Check the wiring around the horn and make sure nothing is touching metal...look under the hood at the horn and make sure everything is pluged in and there is no water on any plugs or wiring...Make sure the fuse is the correct number (ex: 10, 20, 25) If it is still blowing out the fuse then you after you do some checking then it is a short in some wires
SOURCE: horn blows fuses
Don't bypass the fuse, you'v either got a short in the horn or the wrong fuse
it takes a 20 amp and I highly ecommend using a plug in breakr instead of a fuse
Put in a breaker, if it trips unplug the horn and try again, if the breaker trips again, there's a pinched wire, if it does NOT trip replace the horn itself
SOURCE: Horn started blowing constantly...No voltage at
the horn circuit is that theres 12v fed to one side of horn and works when its return is grounded at the horn button,,the feed to thec/liter may also be the feed to the horn,,the horn staying on may be the button return spring has calapsed and the contacts not seperating
SOURCE: Horn will not blow, new fuse in fusebox and checked
The horn grounds to the frame so make sure it & the frame are well sanded & clean on both surfaces. This should solve the problem. Good luck!
SOURCE: 99 dodge durango. My horn keeps blowing the 20 amp
Disconnect the horn and put a test light across it instead.
Then with a good fuse, blow the horn about 50 times.
If the fuse does not blow, and the light comes on, then you know it is the horn itself that was blowing fuses.
