There is no "map". Crawl under the car and in the center you will se a bar/cross member that runs front to back. There is a mount towards the front and another at the rear. You will need a flashlight and a prybar. Pry up on each mount and look for cracks/splits in the rubber. You usually need both because when one goes bad the other takes all the torque and splits.

SOURCE: Engine mount location for a 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera

This is a 4 cyl transverse mounted engine, and it has 3 engine mounts one in front and one on the subframe in the backside of the block and another holds the transaxel. If you have some poping sounds when starting or hard shifing of the gears, then one or more may need replacing.

SOURCE: need to replace the superchager belt, i know that it isn't easy, remove the lower moter mount spacer of the idler pully mounted inside the mount? '96 riviera

If memory is correct it should be driven by the serpentine belt, which runs through one of the engine mounts.
To change the belt you'll need to support the engine (by something other than the oil pan) and pull the engine mount.
== here is another opinion== First you have to remove the belt to the alternator then you can remove the belt to the supercharger. To do this you will need a 19/32" socket and breakerbar or long ratchet.
Put ratchet on belt tensioner nut and pull toward front of car then pull belt off. There is a separate tensioner for each belt.
I hope this helps and since your doing all that work might as well sevice the supercharger too which is always forgotten.
You can buy a superchaarger lubricant from the dealer or, according to the manual. You can use synthetic 10W30 weight oil, which is a much cheaper route.
The filler is a small plug located at the bottom of the goose neck of the supercharger. You need an allen wrench to unscrew it. The oil should be up to the bottom of the threads for the screw plug.
Good luck and hope this helps. Dubble check though, i had a long day.

SOURCE: replace the engine motor mounts and the transmission mount. Would like to know how to do it. Thanks.

Check the frame mounts too. You will have to loosen the bolts and jack the motor up with a jack and a woodblock.

Where is the map sensor on a 1996 volvo 850 glt

Map sensor problems are more common on certain models. As far as engine computer sensor reliability this is one of the sensors that appear to be more reliable overall. But on a few models poor mounting location chosen by the factory may reduce its reliability.

Where does the map sensor sit

Hi, see the picture below. Before replacing the MAP sensor, check the vacuum line for leaks. If the vacuum is good and you have a voltmeter, check the signals. With the key on, there should be 5 volts DC between the outer terminals of the connector. Don't take it off--just stick your meter probes in the back of the connector until they touch the bare wires. If you don't have 5 volts there, the problem is not the sensor--it's the wiring or the computer. If you do have 5 volts there, check the voltage from the white wire to either of the other 2. That voltage should be between 1 and 5 volts, and it should change a lot when you start the engine. If it doesn't change at least a couple of volts, the sensor is probably bad. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

I am trying to locate where the map sensor is on my 2006 Chevrolet express 1500 4.3 van. I need to install a new one have the part but need to know where it goes.

I don't mean to be critical, but if you do not know where the MAP Sensor is, then you could not possibly have tested the MAP Sensor circuits. If the MAP Sensor circuits have not been tested, then there is no way that anyone can be certain that your vehicle actually needs a MAP Sensor. (Many MAP Sensor codes cannot be fixed by replacing the MAP Sensor itself.) Then again, you might just get lucky.

To answer the question you asked, The MAP Sensor is located on the passenger side of the intake manifold near the rear of the engine. You must remove the doghouse to get to it.

I recommend that you also review this article: What Else Could Be Wrong?

I wish you luck!

Location of motor mounts on 94 saturn sl1 where are they and how do you replace them? (all of them) or at least the major ones

There are four total mounts.

1. Upper engine mount located on the passenger side of the engine. Get this at the dealer, aftermarket, especially Anchor brand are garbage.

2. Lower engine mount, often refered to as a "dog bone" mount because of its shape. This one is located on the lower passenger side. You'll have to remove some splash shields to get to it. Aftermarket is OK.

3. Upper transmission mount, also refered to as a "dog bone" mount. Located under the battery.Aftermarket is OK.

4. Lower transmission mount. Located under the transmission. As with the top engine mount, dealer is better quality.

The two dogbone mounts usualy last a very long time, its the others that fail over time. Especially the upper one.
