How to fix sound on a radio

It sounds like the radio is defective. I can think of no other issue that would cause the speaker noise you discribe

Capacitors sound worn. Xpensive to fix. Maybe time for nu rad

sounds like an internal fault take unit out and have it inspected by manufacturer

once i faced same situation on my old skoda pickup. radio contacts at back was loose. i replaced the frame which holds radio on its contacts. but if radio is a fixed model like all new dash units, you may need to check socket at back for its contacts and wires and you may need to check fuse on radio itself.

Check the speaker wires, and speakers. You didn't hit the "mute" button, did ya?

The car also has amplifiers. Check all the fuses besides the radio. That might fix your issue.

it sound as if you have a short in you radio and if it was me i would get me a nice one with a cd and installation kit and that way you know what wire is which and you would be a lot happier so give that a try

It sounds to me like a resistor is fried in the radio. You could buy an after market stereo or the one on ebay, it's your choice as to which route you go. It would cost you more money to fix this problem that to just buy the one on ebay. If it comes with a legit. warranty, then it's definetly worth it. I hope this solution helped. Please rate. Thanks.
