Yes. Also don't forget the timing belt and water pump should be changed at around 90-100,000 mi. Some civic's have interference heads, meaning that if the timing belt breaks while the engine is running, the valves hit the pistons (not good).

The info I have seen is about 150,000 mi.
But it is really dependent on the wear on the belts is in certain different climates.
The belts can break at any time. 150,000 is just a rough estimate.
Some engines will be damaged if the belt is broken, like Hondas, others will not, like my old Pinto.
So it's a gamble, we all have to guess and hope it's accurate.
Although your milage is very low your belt is do by time.Alot of times i consider the wear of the external belts because the timing belt will wear similar to them and considering the cost of replacing a timing belt as a maitenence compared to a failure I would definitely do it now.
According to Gates belts, your engine is not freewheeling but interference. If belt breaks damage is extensive so if it needs changing better do it. Honda usually offers a package deal where they change the timing belt, water pump and all accessory belts.
It has a timing belt. Recommended to be replace every 105,000 miles, timing belt also run's your water pump good idea to also replace, your engine is also an INTERFERENCE ENGINE which will damage your cylinder head valve's if timing belt goes bad. Hope this was very helpful.
The water pump's on both of those cars are driven by the timing belts. You shouldnt have to change the timing belt for at least 60,000 miles, although different manufacturers specify what mileage they want the belts changed at. Changing those belts can be complicated, and it's a considerable amount of work to even access them. My honest advise is, if you've never done a timing belt before, either take it to a good shop, or buy a good timing belt book, Chilton has one that is excellent, and make sure you have the tools you need and a lot of patience.
It is an interference engine and I always change the water pump when I replace timing belts because it's cheap insurance and you don't want to go there again if it goes out in a couple of months after you replace the timing belt.
here is a check list for common overheating issues
low coolant?
Any leaks?
A headgasket leak? To test that use a coolant mix tester.
Do the cooling fans run with the engine hot?
Is the rad cap holding pressure? This can be tested usually its easier to swap it with a working one or buy new.
Lastly the waterpump and timing belt. If the timing belt if old/high mileage or the tensioner faulty it can cause overheating. The common practice is to replace the timing belt every 100,000miles along with the waterpump and the belt tensioner
