My 2005 Honda Odyssey touring - I have had this problem for over a year. Sporatically, when I turn on the AC the driver side is much hotter than the passenger side. It is like the driver side doesn't know the AC is on. All of a sudden, when I go around a turn, get the car going fast, or I don't know what, the driver side gets cool for a while. The problem disappears for a while and then it comes back as mysteriously as it stopped.I have taken it for service 3 times, each time they recharge the freon and/or replace a part. After a while the problem comes back.
Sounds like you have something blocking the duct internally. Could be a piece of foam insulation that has gotten loose inside the duct and intermittently moves "i.e. when I go a round a corner it get cool for a while" that could cause this. Or one of the blend air doors may have a broken hinge, or broken control motor arm allowing it to swing freely.

The only thing I can think of other than the AC control unit being bad is the small tube under the drivers right knee. If you look down at your right knee you will see a small area that is vented. There is a hose hooked to this vent that pulls air from inside the cabin to tell the ac what the temp is. If this hose is off or pinched the ac unit is not getting the information it needs in order to run correctly. Hope this helps.
