SOURCE: wipers

You have two problems. The first is the wipers turn off and stay in the upright position and do not close. The motor is fine. There is a steal 'close' tab that has been bent out of position. You just need to push the steal tab back into position. You can use a chisel or screwdriver to pound it back into the 90 degree position.

The windsheild washer motor probably needs to be replaced

Yes, start calling junk yards for the whole wiper arm or order the arm at your vw dealer, you will not find just the spring. Good Luck

SOURCE: Removing wiper Arms from 2006 Jetta TDI

You will need a wiper arm puller to get these off or go back to where you had the work done and have them fix it seen as how they messed it up in the first place.

2007 Chrysler Sebring 2.4 Where is the Wiper motor AND where is the wiper motor relay???

The wiper motor is located underneath the wiper cowling. This is the piece that the wiper arm pivots come out of and the wiper arm blades attach to. The relay is located in the underhood power distribution center. I am unable to give the exact location, however it may be labeled under the cover top cover.

How do I fix wipers that are stuck in the up position when they are shut off

this could be a problem in the wiper motor controls on the wiper. However before going there I would lift the wiper arms off the screen and allow the wipers to work normally and see where they actually park. Having determined where they park I would then remove the wiper arms and relocate to the parked position. Still with the arms off the screen cycle the wiper and see if they stop where they should. If so place the wipers back on the screen
If all that fails then replace the wiper motor.

Why wont wipers gone down when i shut them off?

The park feature must be malfunctioning.
The crank arm on these wiper motors is not solid.....they rotate on themselves......as they rotate around, there is a moveable "peg" underneath the arm.....when you shut the wipers off, this peg catches a "tab" that causes the arm to rotate on itself, and parks the wipers( the tab is part of the mounting bracket that the motor is attached to)......you have to bend that tab upward a little.....do a little at a time....check it out by turning the wipers on and off.....when you have it bent up enough, the tab catches the peg, and the wipers park themselves.....

Removal of wiper arm

WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHERS
Windshield Wiper Blade and Arm
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  1. Place the wipers are in the PARK position, then turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Lift up the wiper arm pivot nut cover . . .

It's plastic and just pops up and you slip it off. Next, remove the nut. Once you remove the nut, mark the arm and the shaft or top of the mounting area so you know where to place the arm back on the splines. Then, you use a tool similar to a battery clamp remover and pop the arm off. Installation is in reverse order...just remember to align the splines to the arm.

Wipeers wont shut off

My 2001 Chevrolet Malibu had the same problem. The wipers would not stop. wipers wouldn't turn off. The problem was the wiper control module filled with water, seals break down with time. The wiper control module is attached to the front of the wiper motor under a black cover (three screws). I had to remove both wiper arms and the plastic debris guard between the window and the hood. Unplug the harness attached to the wiper motor, remove the three screws. The board is in te plastic cover. I pulled board out. dried it, put it back in and sealed the compartment with silicon. Works like new.
