SOURCE: handle on rear hatch door broke off.how can i open hatch door until i can get a new handle?

you don't. take it into a Hyndai Dealership and have the handle repaired/replaced. The rear hatch panel/cover has to be removed (from inside the vehicle) to access the hatch latch and open the door.. from that point the handle can be replaced/repaired.

SOURCE: rear hatch will not open

If u go inside ur truck to the back and take off the back panel u will find a small latch to pop it but u have to push on the glass at the same time. I also had this problem and I have cut a little square out of the panel so i can always hit the switch without taking the panel off however u will only be able to open the glass part from inside from now on!!

Ford Edge Rear Hatch Pistons

The only way you can do it with new pistons is to install shorter pistons. These will probably not be designed for the weight or leverage requirements of the rear hatch. I suggest installing a small-link chain on each piston from one end to the other to restrain them from full extension. (Stitch a tight cloth sleeve around the chain to keep it from banging and scratching on things when the hatch is closed.) Make one end easily removable (a hook or dog-leash snap) so you can open the hatch all the way elsewhere. A bungee cord or rope installed elsewhere may do the same thing, but may get in your way sometimes. I suspect this solution will be considerably cheaper than new pistons as well as more likely to work.

2005 GMC BACK HATCH WON'T OPEN

It sounds like the lock actuator has failed or has a poor connection which won't allow the latch to release. What you will need to do is remove the inside rear hatch panel to access the lock actuator. Once you get to the latch use a flat screwdriver to release the latch being careful not to damage the glass.
