Hi I have recently bought a range rover overfinch 2008, 3.2 but it came up with error code system engine fault 2 weeks ago and when drivng their was a loss of power after a ball of smoke came out the exhausted. I took it back to car dealer who kept it for a week to fix it. got it back, all fine for a week until today and the warning has come back on and power reduced. Turned car off let it sit for 90mins back on and no warning sign. I need to do a 500mile round trip tomorrow is this advisable or is this a serious issue?

what is wrong with the car,, that you need to rewire. the wiring for suspention is independant.

Change the Mass Air Sensor it is dirty should solve all your trouble
SOURCE: Reduce engine performance
this is a "LIMP" mode, it means the system has a serious fault and to avoid further damage the system is limited to low power, u must have it tested with a scanner to see what the trouble codes are indicating has failed that put the truck in Limp mode.

Blue smoke means it's burning oil, and white smoke means there's water in the exhaust.
Added together, you may have a blown head gasket. Although it's an expensive fault, leaving it in the hope of improvement (it will not fix itself and there is no quick fix alternative) will just add more cost to an expensive repair.
I sincerely hope that I'm wrong, but you need to get the vehicle to a garage that you trust asap and get them to do a quick cheap "sniff test" on the engine coolant. It's also possible that your engine's turbocharger has failed; this possibility is stronger if you've stretched the oil or filter changes, used incorrect oil or poor quality filters, or if you have turned the engine off immediately after a hard run (all turbocharged engines should be left to idle for around a minute before turning off after either a long high speed run, a steep hill under load or when towing a heavy trailer). A failed turbocharger is also expensive but there's less labour involved.
I hope that you have found my reply to be of use; please take a moment to rate my answer.
Hello
The engine
and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train
are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM
(Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the
computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some
exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature
sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in
its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems
memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read
you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and
resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A
TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR
HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM
