check the sensor probe for the temp.. replace with new one if it is bad . and for the gas level gauge , it is inside the gas tank connected to the fuel pump . you have to check the float and the coil . replace the whole fuel pump unit if it is bad. thanks ..
Did you ask auto zone they usually tell you what's wrong otherwise go to the dealer. As far as your fuel gage it may be the cause of all your problems as they are part of your fuel pump that's in your gas tank it should be able to be reaches either under your back seat or in your trunk.
see this causes and fix it. God bless you measure test voltage at the last common circuit point. If voltage is NOT present a this point work toward the battry to find the fault
check the temperature sender for your fuel and emissions (not same as sender for gauge is most cases) if fuel injected, if carburated check choke. also ensure plugs and wires are in good shape
I'm having this problem with my 2003 nissan maxima. I keep the driver side door open and keep my hand at the edge where the fuel door hinge is, and reache the button with a screwdriver or pen, and as it press the button, I push on the fuel door panel and it comes out. I'm going to replace the fuel door sooner or later. It all looks kinda dumb at the gas station.
the fuel sending unit is w/the fuel pump in gas tank.try checking for blown fuse under dash if not one there try inder hood, black box usually on drivers side.lift cover @ inspect. hope this helps!!!
I have an 03 Maxima doing the same exact thing. I changed the fuel pump, with has the filter built in. It's located under the back seat. You don't need to remove the tank from this car, thankfully...It was easy. 4 bolts, basically..
As far as the gas needle, it's still floating.. My last car always had a check engine light that drove me nuts. I'd rather deal with that, than a floating needle....
I do have problems with my wiring, I can tell. Where do I begin on replacing this?? Under the dash?? Any safety measures? Lol. Thanks. :)
